Jeff Oliver's Coyotes put behind poor shooting effort from a week ago with a stellar effort in their game against San Francisco State on Thursday night.

The Coyotes shot their best field goal percentage in eight seasons, hitting 62.5 percent from the floor in their 77-58 rout over the Gators at Coussoulis Arena. The victory snapped CSUSB's two-game losing streak and kept their Coussoulis streak intact with their sixth straight victory at home.

Senior
Isaiah Morton led the way for CSUSB (7-9 overall, 7-6 CCAA) with 26 points -- 17 in the first half -- and six assists. Sophomore
Everett Turner followed with 16 points and seven rebounds and senior
Taylor Statham with 10.

The Coyotes jumped out to a 16-0 lead in less than five minutes and never let the lead dip below 11 for good. Consecutive 3-pointers from Turner and Statham with seven straight points from Morton put the Coyotes up 13-0.
Gilbert Parga finished the streak with a 3-pointer.

The lead got as high as 27 when Parga scored a layup that put CSUSB up 44-17 with 39 seconds left in the half.

CSUSB's advantage grew to as much as 28 on Statham's jumper with 14:27 remaining and the Coyotes ahead 56-28.

The Coyotes finished the game 30-of-48 from the field for their 62.5 percent effort; their best since the 2006-07 season when they fired 63.6 in a 77-59 win over UC San Diego on Feb. 24, 2007. They had 24 assists with junior
Jacob Thomas leading with nine. He also had four steals, but scored just three points.

Tevin Harris and Parga each scored nine.

SFSU (8-9, 6-7) was led by Udun Osakue's 22 points. Jon McMurry was the only other Gator to score in double figures with 10.
