Box Score SAN BERNARDINO (Sept. 27, 2014) — A 3-0 victory showed on the Coussoulis Arena scoreboard Saturday night in favor of the Coyotes over the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors.
But this was not a one-sided victory as the Coyotes were pushed 25-22, 25-20, 25-19 in the CCAA play.

Alexandra Torline again led the Coyotes on the attack with 16 kills and a .303 attack percentage, while sound blocking by a host of Coyotes and quickness by
Arielle McCullough and
Abbey Vollkommer were all critical factors in the win for CSUSB, now 8-2 overall and 5-1 CCAA.
The Coyotes never trailed in the opener, but were pushed all the way to the end. Leading 23-21,
Kaitlyn Christner threw down a kill and after a CSUS kill, she and
Tori May teamed on a block for the set winner.
The All-American May showed her power in the second set and the Coyotes needed that effort for the win.
Down 20-19, May scored three successive kills, threw down a solo block and added another kill for a personal 5-0 run and CSUSB led 24-20. Setter
Hannah Liserra proved the set winner on a kill from
Jordan Ortega.
There were only two ties in the third and final set and CSUSB never trailed.
CSUS got to within two points at 15-13, but the Coyotes got the momentum back. After a Warriors service error, senior
Alyssa Heldreth scored a kill and she combined with
Brittney Paino on a block and CSUSB had a 17-13 advantage.
The Warriors got to within two points down the stretch, but kills from May and Solis pushed the lead to 21-17 and the Coyotes went on to record the victory.
CSUSB hit .296 on the night.
Brenna McIntosh had nine kills with a solo block and three block assists. May had eight kills and one solo and three block assists.
Senior L
Arielle McCullough led the match with 19 digs and Vollkommer had 13 in the win.
CSUSB totaled 15 block assists and three solos. Torline accounted for the other solo.
The Coyotes return to the road Wednesday against Humboldt State before returning to Coussoulis Arena on Thursday when they play host to Cal Poly Pomona.
CSUS (1-9, 1-5) was led by Jocelyn Cervantes' 12 kills.
