Box Score LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Dec. 19, 2014) -- Junior guard Jacob Thomas scored a game-high 25 points, but the Coyotes could not overcome Western Washington in a 72-66 loss in the final day of play at the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic on Friday.
The Coyotes (2-5) are now off for the holiday break and resume play Jan. 1 at home against Cal State L.A.
Thomas was outstanding all game long, hitting 10-of-17 shots with four 3-pointers with four assists. Sophomore Everett Turner was the only other Coyote in double figures with 11.
CSUSB led for only three-plus minutes and trailed the entire second half. It shot 42.4 percent from the field on 25-of-59 shots with 10 3-pointers.
WWU (7-4) outscored the Coyotes 19-5 on free throws. Jaamon Echols led four Vikings in double figures with 18 points.
