Box Score: CSU East Bay 3, Coyotes 2
SAN BERNARDINO -- Cal State San Bernardino had the match under control with a 2-0 lead, but visiting Cal State East Bay found momentum and never let it go as the Coyotes lost 3-2 to the Pioneers before a crowd of 385 at The Den on Friday night.
The loss snapped the Coyotes' winning streak at eight matches as it now prepares for Saturday afternoon's match against Cal State Monterey Bay. The match begins at 5 p.m. and also will be played in The Den.
Freshman
Alexandra Torline led the Coyotes, now 11-7 overall and 8-2 in the CCAA, with 16 kills, but no other Coyote had double-digit kill numbers in the 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 22-25, 7-15 defeat. Senior All-American setter

Brenna McIntosh led in blocks with one solo and four assists.
The Coyotes dominated in the first two sets and went into the break needing one more set for the sweep. But CSUEB (7-10, 2-8), which led 6-5, built a 9-3 run before the Coyotes took a timeout.
CSUSB fought to get back into the match, but never got to within two points. It closed the gap at 22-19 CSUEB, before the Pioneers got a block from Jade Sandford and kill from Hanna Bell and earned the win on another kill from Sanford.
In the fourth, a total of seven ties and three lead changes resulted in a 21-21 score. A kill from Samantha Bruno keyed a 3-0 rally and the Pioneers won the set and tied the match on a set-ending block from Bruno and Suzy Ni.
in the fifth set, the Coyotes never led as CSUEB fired .500 on the attack and converted at 85 percent on sideouts (6 of 7).
Bell led the Pioneers with 13 kills.
