SAN FRANCISCO -- Senior Tre Brewer scored 18 points as visiting Cal State San Bernardino snapped a two-game losing streak with a 67-60 win over San Francisco State in CCAA men's basketball Thursday night.
Brewer reached double digits in scoring for the 10th straight game and 13th in the last 16 games, while reserve
Nate Roth added 14 on four 3-pointers as the Coyotes improved to 10-6 overall and 9-4 in the CCAA, tops in the CCAA along with Cal Poly Pomona, which defeated UC San Diego on Thursday.
The Broncos and Coyotes meet Saturday night in Pomona. The road has been kind to CSUSB this season as the Coyotes improved to 5-1 in CCAA play.
CSUSB grabbed control early and led by 13 in the first half on Brewer's dunk with 10:38 remaining. SFSU closed the half on a 15-5 run over the final 5:11 and led 30-28 at the break.
CSUSB utliized a 25-9 run over a 13-minute span and led 57-41 on
Hakeem Washington's layup with 4:34 left in the game.

Kwame Alexander had a game-high 10 rebounds for CSUSB.
SFSU dropped to 4-15, 2-11.
GAME NOTES: Washington is averaging 9.3 points and 5.7 assists in his last three games... Alexander's game-high10 rebounds marked the fifth consecutive double-figure effort on the glass and his eighth this season... Bell's 2-for-2 FT effort improved his current streak to 11 of 12 from the line... Roth's 14 points marked the first double-digit scoring effort from the senior since 20 against UC San Diego on Dec. 19... The Coyotes are 7-0 this season when they hold at least a 10-point lead... The Coyotes set a season-best in turnovers, with just nine on the night. They had a combined 49 over their last two games... CSUSB held the Gators to just 39.6 percent shooting. It improved the Coyotes' all-time record under coach Jeff Oliver to 100-15 when they hold an opponent to less than 40 percent shooting.
