Cal State San Bernardino racked up its fourth straight California Collegiate Athletic Association volleyball championship and seventh in the last nine years Saturday night with a 3-0 sweep of Cal State Monterey Bay on Senior Night in Coussoulis Arena.
The Coyotes now await the announcement of the seedings and the site for the 2009 NCAA Division II West Regional tournament on Sunday night. CSUSB is ranked No. 1 in the region and its record is now 29-1 overall.
CSUSB, by winning Saturday night, set a new team record for conference wins with 21 as they finished CCAA play 21-1. The Coyotes went 20-2 on three occasions in winning three straight titles in 2001, 2002 and 2003. The win was also the team's 28th straight in the arena since the start of the 2008 season.
The team's 29 wins sets a record for most regular season wins and CSUSB could equal its all-time single-season win record of 30 (set in 2008) in the upcoming West Regional.

The visiting Otters finished their season 13-19 overall and 7-15 in the CCAA.
