Cal State San Bernardino used nearly their entire bench Friday night in defeating Cal State Stanislaus, 3-1, in a CCAA conference women's volleyball match before 325 fans in Coussoulis Arena.
The victory improved the No. 3-ranked Coyotes to 21-1 overall and 14-1 in the CCAA as they prepare to host No. 25 Chico State on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Cal State Stanislaus, now 8-14 overall and 2-12 in the CCAA, moves on to face Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday.
It was the 25th straight home win for the Coyotes dating back to the start of the 2008 season. The win keeps the Coyotes in a tie for first place in the CCAA with UC San Diego, which knocked off Cal State L.A., 3-1, in La Jolla.

Nicole Moore had a career high 16 kills on .423 hitting and three block assists to lead CSUSB. Junior outside hitter
Jane Chafeh, ranked No.2 in the nation in kills per set, followed suit with 14 kills and 11 digs and a solo block. Sophomore
Samantha Middleborn had nine kills on .389 hitting and five block assists.
The Coyotes, ranked No. 1 in the West Region, took set one in easy fashion, 25-16, but struggled in set two against an inspired, young Warriors team who asserted themselves late in the set after 11 tied scores and four lead changes to take the set 25-23.
CSUSB got back to business taking the third and fourth sets 25-16, 25-13.
Lianne Vicchio led the Warriors with a match-high 17 kills and 11 digs along with a pair of service aces. Janay Bankston had nine kills.
The Warriors blocked well with 15 total blocks to 11 for CSUSB.
CSUSB won the battle of kills 56-35 and digs 56-41 and had 10 service aces, four by sophomore
Morgan Carty who also chipped in 11 digs and seven kills on .400 hitting. The Coyotes hit .325 for the match while the Warriors hit just .132.
Set two was Stanislaus' shining moment. The teams were tied at 23-all but Vicchio's kill and a block of Moore's attack by Andrea Fett and Stephany Leonard gave the set to the Warriors.
The Coyotes exploded to a 14-3 lead early in set three on a Warriors error and were up 20-10 on a kill by Moore from senior All-America setter
Sara Hoffman, who had 24 of CSUSB's 38 assists in the match.
CSUSB closed out the set on a block of Bankston's attack by Middleborn and Hoffman.
Set four was close early with the Coyotes holding an 11-8 advantage on a block of Chafeh's attack by Melissa Bishop and Jessica Lehner.
However, CSUSB outscored the Warriors 10-2 for a 21-10 advantage on a Warriors error and closed out the match on another Warriors attack error.
The Coyotes now lead the series with the Warriors 30-2 and haven't lost to Stanislaus since Nov. 3, 2000.
