Lauren Reimer enters her third season in 2020 as head coach of the Coyotes after serving the previous season as an assistant coach.

The program took another step forward in 2019 with Maya Price and Jordan Munford both earning All-CCAA honors and the team broke school records in six events.

In 2018 she coached walk-on Casie Johnson to an All-CCAA effort in the heptathlon who also provisionally qualified for the NCAA championship.

Her coaching experience includes stints at the Division I, Division II and high school levels after a championship multi-events career at Georgia Tech.

From 2008-12, she was an assistant coach at nearby Cal Poly Pomona (2008-12). She played a critical role in two Broncos earning All-American honors (men’s 400 hurdles, men’s javelin) and two conference champions (women’s 100 hurdles and men’s long jump), along with a host of All-CCAA honors in jumps, hurdles, weights, multi-events, and relays.

The four years prior she coached in North Carolina, and in particular, at Wake Forest University (2012-15). Under her watch, four school records were set — women’s indoor long jump (twice), women’s indoor pentathlon and women’s outdoor triple jump.

She also served as a high school coach in Charlotte, N.C., San Diego and in Los Angeles, in addition to serving as a student-assistant at Long Beach State.

Lauren competed at Georgia Tech (2001-04) and earned a pair of All-ACC honors, winning the 2004 heptathlon and finishing second in the 2004 pentathlon.

She is a graduate of Long Beach State and is working on her master’s degree at Concordia Irvine.
