2017: Ran three events — going 2:29.23 in the 800, 5:13.02 in the 1500 and 19:56.53 in the 5000.
At Valley View HS: Competed in track and cross country all four seasons for the Eagles … Team captain her senior season in each sport … Team MVP as a senior … Reached CIF her freshman through junior seasons.
Personal: Daughter of Roger and Valerie Perez … Kinesiology major … Older sister Deserae Perez competed for the Coyotes … Never gets tired watching Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing … Loves her English classes … Enjoys all types of music.
