Biography
2008: Salas was the central defender on a team that held 20 opponents to just 16 goals (0.74 goals against average) and recorded seven shutouts. Salas played and started in 18 matches. She was an all-CCAA honorable mention for the second year in a row. She was voted co-MVP of the team.
2007: Salas started or played in 15 of the team's 20 matches but was a stalwart at center defender in the back row, helping the Coyotes shut out five opponents and allow just 23 goals in 20 matches. She earned all-CCAA honorable mention.
2006: She again was a key defender, playing in 19 matches and scoring two goals and assisting on another goal.
HIGH SCHOOL: Salas is a 2005 graduate of Etiwanda High School where she played for current CSUSB assistant coach Jason Montgomery. She was first-team all-league as a junior and senior and second-team all-league as a sophomore.
PERSONAL: She is a human services major with a minor in sociology. She plans to play professional soccer in Europe and work for the city of San Bernardino after graduation. Salas enjoys camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding and going to the beach. She has volunteered her time at a local nursing home. Her parents are Ricarda and Mark Salas. She has two siblings.
