Biography
As a freshman in 2012: Competed in five of the Coyotes' seven meets... Ran 31:17.3 over 6,000 m at UC San Diego Invite... Best 5,000 m time (23:17.4) at the UC Irvine meet.
At Chaffey HS: Three-sport letter winner for Tigers (track and field, cross country and soccer)... Honors student, who was a consistent member on the Principal's Honor Roll... Ran 20:41 over three miles during her senior year of cross country.
Personal: Daughter of Antonio and Rosa Ortiz.... Would like to major in criminal justtice, and pursue a law degree upon graduation... Says "27 Dresses" is her favorite movie and can't get enough of her mother's homecooking.
