Biography
As a junior in 2012: Competed in five of the Coyotes' seven events... Placed 85th at the CCAAs, finishing the 6,000-m course in 25:51.9... Ran 20:27.7 over 5,000 m at UC Irvine and placed 145th.
As a freshman in 2010: Competed in seven events… Ran 20:19.1 over 5,000 meters at UC Riverside, finishing 152nd… Top 6,000-m time of 25:12.7 arrived in her final event of the year – the CCAA Championships at Whittier... An All-CCAA Academic choice... Did not compete in 2011.
At Paraclete HS: Ran cross country and competed in track and field for three seasons, graduating in 2010… Team won Alpha League title and advanced to CIF finals as a junior… Recorded personal bests of 20:44 in cross country, 12:33 for the two-mile run and 5:49 in the mile… Sserved as captain of the league champion track team as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Frank and Leslie Huelga… Accounting major, who would like to be a self-entrepreneur… Family of three children… Enjoys swimming and dancing… Enjoys attending a college that isn’t too far, but far enough from home.
