Biography
2008: Garcia ran in seven of the team's eight meets. Her best time for 5K was 24:14 at UC Riverside. Her top 6K time was 29:23 at the UCSD meet.
2007: Garcia ran in six of the team's seven meets, missing only the NCAA West Regional. Her best time for 5K was 21:13 at UCR. Her best time for 6K was 25:40 at the CCAA conference meet.
2006: She competed in five meets. Her best 5K time was 22:24 at UCR.
HIGH SCHOOL: Garcia is a 2006 graduate of San Bernardino High School where she earned three varsity letters in cross countrya and four in track and field. She served as captain of teams in both sports.
PERSONAL: She is a nutrition major in health science with a career goal of being a nutritionist. She enjoys watching TV, reading, being with friends and family. Garcia volunteered her time at the CSUSB Disability Sports Festival. Her mother is Matilde Chavez. She has two siblings.
