Biography
As a junior: Consistently ran in the top spots for the Coyotes in 2010… Owned four top-10 performances including two sixth-place finishes – at CSUSB Invite and at UC San Diego … Finished 17th at the CCAA Championships and 36th at the NCAA West Regional… Best 5K time 18:24.8 at UC Riverside and top 6K time of 22:41.9 at the CCAAs… Outstanding student who was named to the 2010 U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division II All-Academic Cross Country team.
At Riverside CC: Gomez helped RCC to a second-place finish in the Orange Empire Conference and a fourth-place finish at the state JC championships in 2009… Ran 19:40 for 5K to finish 10th at the conference meet and ran 18:54 to finish 15th at the state meet… Honored as team's MVP in 2009.
At Patriot HS: Competed for four years in track and cross country at Patriot High School in Riverside. She was the team's MVP as a sophomore and a junior and was twice a league champion.
Personal: Daughter of Mario and Lorena Gomez... Family has three children.
