Biography

    2007-08: Burke was a key factor in the team's runnerup finish in the CCAA conference tournament, qualifying fifth at regionals for a third straight appearance in the NCAA D-2 national championship. He had a stroke average of 73.9 in 12 tournaments with a low round of 65 and won the Southern California Intercollegiate Tournament with a 203 total for 54 holes. He finished second in the 2008 San Bernardino County Amateur with a 54-hole total of 214.
    2006-07: Burke competed in 11 tournaments for the Coyotes, averaging 74.7 strokes per round for 34 rounds. His best finish was a tie for second place at the Chico State Invitational with a score of 217 for 54 holes. He finished 13th in the NCAA West Regional and tied for 70th at the NCAA national tournament. He shot his low round of the season (69) on six occasions. Burke finished third in the 2007 San Bernardino County Amateur Tournament with a three-under-par score of 211.
    2005-06: Burke redshirted during the season, but did compete in area amateur tournaments, winning the Moreno Valley City Amateur, the San Bernardino County Amateur and qualifying for the U.S. Publinx Championship.
    2004-05: As a freshman, Burke played in five tournaments, averaging 75.8 strokes per round. His best performance came in the first 36 holes of the CCAA conference tournament, firing rounds of 71 and 72 to help put the Coyotes in first place after two rounds.
    HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2004 graduate of Venice High School where he was a four-time league MVP. He finished third in the L.A. City Championship. Burke also played two years of basketball.
    PERSONAL: The busness major is hoping for a career in professional golf on the PGA Tour. Away from the course, he enjoys long-boarding, wind surfing, basketball and wood working. He has been a volunteer at his church's children's ministry for nine years. His parents are Shirley and Devin Burke.
