Biography
As a Junior in 2010: Played only nine rounds of golf through the season... Averaged 74.33 strokes per round in three events... Saw first play at the Hanny Stanislaus Tournament with a three-round 235... Played stellar three rounds at the CCAA Tourament, where he fired a three-round, 2-under par 215 at Paso Robles and tied for fourth... Tied for 9th at the NCAA West/Central Regional with a three-round, 4-over 220 at the Classic Club, former host site for the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic.
As a Sophomore in 2009: Helped the Coyotes advance to the regional and national championship tournaments... Averaged 73.4 strokes per round in 10 events... Medalist at the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Tournament with a 54-hole total of 205, that included a season-best round of 65... Named CCAA Golfer of the Week for his efforts in Phoenix... One of four Coyotes named to the All-CCAA team... Owned six top-10 finishes including a 9th-place finish at the NCAA West/Central Regional and earned All-Region honors.... Named Honorable Mention All-American by the GCAA.
At Riverside Community College: Played one season of golf, where he was team's MVP.
At Norco HS: A 2006 graduate where he played four years of golf... Team's MVP as well as lowest scoring average and selected as team captain as a senior... Member of school's wrestling team for two seasons.
Personal: Son of Bob Pigman and Beverlee Spurlock... Marketing major, who would like to play professional golf and someday
own a golf course... Enjoys snowboarding, surfing and long-boarding.... Says his most memorable sports moment is entering final round of the Inland Empire Amateur with a two-stroke lead and falling short of the title.
