BEFORE CAL STATE: Bass played two years of basketball at Ohlone College in Northern California where he averaged 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots a game and earned second-team all-state JC honors. 

PERSONAL: He is a communications major who plans to play professional basketball and get his degree. He has volunteered at youth basketball camps and church camps. He enjoys watching movies and sports. His mother is Lynn Newsome.

MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT – Being on the first Ohlone College team to reach the quarterfinals (Elite 8) in state JC tournament. 

MOST EMBARRASING MOMENT – Missing a wide open dunk and falling.
