2006-07: He averaged three points per game while playing in 31 games for the NCAA West Region champs along with six blocked shots and 11 steals. His best showing came with 10 points against Grand Canyon. He had a season-high seven rebounds against Chico State. 

BEFORE CAL STATE: Gilzene played in 47 games over the past two seasons at Sacramento State after redshirting there in 2003-04. 

HIGH SCHOOL: He played four years of basketball at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, graduating in 2003. He averaged 12 points and nine rebounds a game for FHS. 

PERSONAL: Gilzene is a graphic design major with an emphasis in marketing who plans to own his own graphics firm after graduation. He enjoys watching movies, bowling and “kicking it” with friends. His mother is Annette Gilzene.
