    BEFORE CAL STATE: Montgomery was a teammate of former CSUSB all-conference point guard T.K. Reed at Moorpark JC , earning all-state honors, before moving on to Pepperdine where he started 26 games for the Waves in 2001-02, averaging 11.7 points and 3.5 assists per game. He made 51 percent of his three-pointers. He scored 26 points against Santa Clara; 27 Vs. Gonzaga and 21 Vs. West Virginia. He led the Waves in scoring in nine games that season. He suffered a season-ending hand injury early in his senior year and never played again. He attended Duquesne University as a freshman.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Montgomery is a 1999 graduate of Alemany High School in Mission Hills.
    PERSONAL: He is a kinesiology major with an emphasis on teaching and coaching. He has aspirations of playing professional basketball as well as working youths "less fortunate than myself." He has spoken often as various camps in the Los Angeles area about being a student-athlete. Away from the court, he enjoys watching TV, working out and playing video games. His mother is Sharon Morgan. He has one sibling.
    MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: Participating in the NCAA tournament in 2001-02 with Pepperdine.
