BEFORE CAL STATE: Mieszala played two years of baseball at Long Beach City College, helping them win the South Coast Conference championship in 2009. He was 4-2 with a 2.95 earned run average in 16 appearances for the Vikings. He had three starts and one complete game, including a 7-hitter with 10 strikeouts in a title-clinching win over Cerritos. He fanned 25 batters in 39 innings and walked only four. Opponents hit just .243 against him.
    
HIGH SCHOOL: He is a 2007 graduate of Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas, NV. where he was a scholar-athlete.
    
PERSONAL: Mieszala is a geography major who would like to play Major League Baseball or become a successful teacher and coach. He enjoys going to the beach, playing video games and being with friends. His parents are Joe and Leanne Mieszala. He has one sibling.
    
MOST MEMORABLE SPORTS MOMENT: Pitching the complete game win for the conference championship at LBCC.
