STUDENT-ATHLETE: MENTAL HEALTH

As we navigate life during these uncertain and unprecedented times, you may notice changes in your mood and overall well-being.  It is typical in times of change to notice heightened anxiety, frustration, confusion, grief, loss of purpose, and sadness.  If your current coping strategies are no longer working maybe having a confidential place to talk to a trained professional would help?

CAPS: Mental health services are available through the Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) office by telephone or video conferencing (Zoom) until further notice.  CAPS will continue to provide counseling, crisis services, workshops, and consultation and outreach to the campus community, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call the CAPS office at 909-537-5040.
CRISIS CARE: In any life threatening situation, such as a suicide attempt, alcohol or drug overdose, or serious mental health crisis call 911, or proceed immediately to the emergency room of your local hospital.  If you are not in crisis but need to talk with a counselor now, call (909) 537-5040 and choose the option to speak with a counselor. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
