SAN BERNARDINO – The CSUSB Coyotes played a complete match in their home opener on Friday getting the 2-0 win over Metro State.
Paola Morales started the scoring in the 13th minute when she pounded home Rebekka Bogan's saved shot into the bottom left corner. It was that way until the 78th minute when Jessica Hernandez served a perfect free kick into the top left shelf.
The Yotes were solid on defense and countered with eight shots, five on goal to lead in that category.
"I was happy with the result today," Hernandez said. "We battled through our rough patches and came together as a team to get it done."
The Yotes continue the homestand on Sunday at 12 pm against Colorado Springs. Live stats are available on CSUSBathletics.com.
