SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The CSUSB Coyotes have officially signed Jordan Mitchell of Fort Worth, Texas to his national letter of intent, head coach Andy Newman announced.
He is currently in his first season at Jacksonville College in Jacksonville, Texas. He is leading his team scoring 13 points per game and has scored 20+ four times this season while shooting 56.7 percent from the field.
"I am very excited about Jordan Mitchell's commitment to CSUSB," Newman said. "He's going to bring a high level of toughness and explosiveness to the court along with the right attitude and approach to the game of basketball. He's a great student in the classroom and he understands what a privilege it is to play this game."
Prior to Jacksonville College, Mitchell played at Polytechnic Senior High School in Fort Worth and Seward County Community College. He averaged 24 points per game and eight rebounds per game his senior season in high school while being named All-Region.
"I'm beyond blessed for this opportunity to become a Coyote and I'm ready for this experience," Mitchell said.
Mitchell will join the Coyotes as a junior for the 2019-20 season.
