SAN BERNARDINO (March 21, 2018) — Former Coyote
Theron Laudermill will finish the 2017-18 NBA G League as a member of the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario.
Laudermill, who was an All-CCAA selection in 2011-12, has played the last four seasons professionally in Mexico, Germany and in South America. The Clippers signed the Moreno Valley native Tuesday and he was dressed for their 109-107 victory over Oklahoma City. They are at home at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Thursday against Raptors 905 and Saturday in their regular-season finale vs. Iowa.
"A door opened up at the right time,'' he said. "I was helping out some kids with AAU stuff, and their staff saw that I was home. I got called in for a practice, and now I get my chance. I'm so happy to have the opportunity and I'll be ready when they call my number.''
Laudermill joins former Coyotes D.J. Shumpert (Bakersfield Jam),
Anthony January and Jordan Burris (both of the Reno Bighorns) and Ivan Johnson (Texas Legends) who have played in the NBA developmental league.
