SAN BERNARDINO -- The Coyotes entered Friday's night game against No. 4 ranked Cal Poly Pomona on a six-game winning streak that was accomplished all away from Coussoulis Arena.
But the Coyotes' 80-69 loss against the Broncos meant CSUSB suffered a first in the history of its home court.

Kwame Alexander led the Coyotes with 18 points and 10 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season, but CSUSB lost for the third straight time on its home court -- a first since the 1991-92 season and the first in the history of the 17-year arena.
CSUSB (14-4 overall and 12-3 CCAA) looks to end its home drought Saturday night against Humboldt State with tip off at 7:30 p.m.
The Coyotes, who played before a crowd of 1,891, did not help themselves in the first half as they committed 13 turnovers that resulted in 19 points for Cal Poly Pomona, which led 33-22 at the break. Those 13 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes surpassed their season average of 10.2, which ranked second in the country.
Down 37-26 with 18:55 remaining in the game, CSUSB battled back with its most impressive run of the night. A three-point play by
Joshua Gouch and a 3-pointer from
Brian Goins cut the deficit to seven, 39-32, and
Lacy Haddock's jumper brought the Coyotes to within five (39-34) with 16 minutes left.
After a Mohamed Fall free throw,
Johnny Bell rang up a 3-pointer that made the score 40-37 with 14:46 left.
But three minutes later, CPP built the lead back to 10 and led by as many as 16 points (63-47) with 7:55 left.
Goins and Gouch each had 14 for the Coyotes, who were 22 of 56 shooting.
CPP, now 18-1 and leading the CCAA at 14-1, had five players in double figures and was led by DeRonn Scott's 18 points. The Broncos hit 65.4 percent from the field in the second half and finished at 53.7 percent.
