Box Score SAN FRANCISCO -- Four games into the longest CCAA road swing in school history and the Coyotes have not been deterred in their drive for a conference championship.

Brian Goins' game-high 23 points, the Coyotes trailed for only 84 seconds Saturday night en route to a 77-68 victory over host San Francisco State.

Kwame Alexander earned his second straight double-double and fifth of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Coyotes relied upon outside shooting, hitting nine 3-pointers, and they received 20 points from post players Alexander and senior
Pablo Genevo to improve to 12-3 overall and 10-2 in the CCAA, one game behind league-leading Cal Poly Pomona as the first half of conference play came to an end.
Goins struck with a personal-best five 3-pointers and dealt a team-high five assists in 37 minutes. All told, the Coyotes outscored the Gators 27-12 from the arc for the nine-point victory.
After SFSU grabbed its final lead of the game on a layup from William Overton with 6:43 remaining in the half, the Coyotes responded with a 19-7 run to close the half.

Jamari Simmons each had a three in that stretch and collectively, the Coyotes were 7 of 10 from the field in the final 5:40 for a 36-26 lead at the break.
The Gators got to within five points of the lead twice, but CSUSB held leads of 10 or more six times and earned the victory at Main Gym.
GAME NOTES: The Coyotes are unbeaten in league play road games at 7-0... CSUSB improved to 10-1 when they score at least 25 field goals and 9-1 when they own a double-digit lead... The Coyotes are 11-1 and 9-0 in the CCAA when they score 70 or more points... Alexander's double-double was his 12th in his three-year career... Simmons' 3-pointer in the first half kept his season streak of hitting a 3-pointer alive. He has scored at least one trey in each of the Coyotes' 15 games... The Coyotes, who are the nation's top team in turnovers per game, gave up just eight miscues against the Gators. It's the first time in their last five games they have had a single-digit turnover game... The Coyotes are now 9-0 when they hold a lead with 5 minutes remaining in regulation.
