Box Score: Coyotes 97, Cal Tech 53

SAN BERNARDINO -- Sound guard play was the story of Wednesday night's men's basketball exhibition as the Coyotes routed visiting Cal Tech 97-53 at Coussoulis Arena.

Junior Lacy Haddock led four Coyotes in double figures with 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting with eight free throws in as many attempts. Junior Brian Goins followed with 16 and reserve sophomore Jamari Simmons added 11 as the Coyotes never trailed.

The Coyotes shot 53,6 percent from the floor and were 9-of-24 from the 3-point stripe.

Senior post Pablo Genevo added 14 points -- 12 in the second half -- and had 10 rebounds. Senior Johnny Bell had eight points and 10 rebounds.

CSUSB opens the 2012-13 season at Westmont on Tuesday night.

Cal Tech was led by Michael Edwards' 18 points.
