This year's Female Athlete of the Year, Laura Aceves became cross country's all-time best, after she finished 13^th at the NCAA championship in December. She is only the second All-American in her sport at CSUSB and the first to earn All-American efforts in the championship race. She was named the CCAA and West Region Runner of the Year after earning titles at both competitions. She will compete in the NCAA Track and Field Championship in May, qualifying in the 5,000 meters.
