Laura broke the school record for the second time in as many races, taking the NCAA West Region crown in Billings, Mont. She ran the 6,000-meter course in 20 minutes, 55 seconds — eight seconds better than her conference-winning effort last month. The West Region Woman of the Year now qualifies for the NCAA championship, held Nov. 19 in St. Leo, Fla.
