In this Homecoming Week for the Yotes we have plenty of sports in action throughout the week.
Leading off for CSUSB is our volleyball team (13-3, 8-0 CCAA). Currently ranked #11 in the nation, the Yotes are undefeated in CCAA competition. CSUSB stands at first place in conference as they travel to Pomona to face off against number two in the conference Cal Poly Pomona Broncos (14-1, 7-1 CCAA) at 7 pm in a preview of our homecoming event.
On Thursday we will have both the men's soccer (5-2-2, 3-0-1 CCAA) and women's soccer (2-7-1, 0-3-1 CCAA) teams take the field in Pomona against the Broncos. The men's soccer team is currently undefeated in CCAA competition and will meet the also undefeated in CCAA competition Cal Poly Pomona who holds a record of (5-2-3, 2-0-2 CCAA). The women's soccer match kicks off at 4:30 pm and the men's soccer match starts at 7 pm.
Homecoming is on Saturday, Oct. 16th when volleyball will meet the Broncos once again, but this time in Coussoulis Arena! The returning National Champions will hold a ring ceremony and banner unveiling at 7 pm. The match begins at 7:30pm.
There are three events that will close the week for the Yotes on Sunday. The men's golf team heads to Seaside to compete in the Monterey Bay Otter Invitational. There will also be a men's and women's soccer match against Cal State LA on Premier Field. The women's team kicks off at 11:30 am and the men's match starts at 2pm. Cal State LA men's soccer team is currently tied for first place in CCAA with a record of (6-2-1, 4-0-0 CCAA). This match will be one to watch!
