    2007: Torrez ran in six of the team's seven events, posting a best 5K time of 20:16 at the UC Riverside meet and a best 6K time of 24:46 at the CCAA championship meet. Her highest finish was 48th at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego.
    2006: She ran in six meets with her best finish being 51st at the CCAA championship. Her top 5K time was 21:01 at UCR. Her best 6K was 25:01 at the NCAA West Regional.
    2005: As a freshman, Torrez ran in six events. She was 58th in the CCAA meet  and 74th in the NCAA West Regional. Her top 5K time was 20:34 at UCR and her best 6K time was 25:15 at the NCAA regional.
    HIGH SCHOOL: Torrez is a 2005 graduate of Barstow High School where she was a stellar track and cross country performer for four years. She earned all-league honors four years in cross country and two years in track. She was the "Scholar-Athlete of the Year" in 2004-05.
    PERSONAL: She is a chemistry major who plans to attend Loma Linda University after graduation and pursue a degree in pharmacy prior to a career as a pharmacist. She has volunteered her time with the Disability Sports Festival at CSUSB. Torrez enjoys going to concerts, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.  Her parents are Diana and Roger Torrez.

    WHY I CHOSE CSUSB -- I liked the size of the campus, its proximity to my hometown and the cross country team.
