Final Results
PASO ROBLES — Cal State San Bernardino finished the final round of the 2010 CCAA Men's Golf Championships right where it started, in fourth place.
The Coyotes fired a final round 298 for a three-round 883 to complete the tournament behind champion No. 22 Cal State Monterey Bay that shot a 288 in the final round to win its first men's golf conference title in school history. The Otters finished with an 856. No. 10 Cal State Stanislaus finished in second at 857 while No. 20 Sonoma State finished in third at 875.
CSUSB finished just six strokes ahead of No. 4 Chico State.
After Gene Webster Jr. shot back-to-back 70s Monday, the senior slumped to shoot a 75 to put him at 215 for the tournament where he finished in sixth place. Kenny Pigman stayed right at 2-under par by shooting a par-72 to close the tournament in a tie for fourth with a 214 three-round total. Joe Alldis shot a 73 in the final round, finishing in a tie for 17th while Thomas Chu put up a 79, leaving him in a tie for 31st. Kenny Anthony posted a 90 on the final day, finishing in 39th.
Cal State Monterey Bay's John Jackson was the overall champion with a 208 three-round total as he fired a 68, 71 and a 69 in his three rounds.
The Coyotes will now get prepared for the NCAA West/Central Super Regional, May 3-5, at the Classic Club in Palm Desert.
