Ten members of the Cal State San Bernardino faculty were honored Saturday night at the CSUSB-Cal State Dominguez Hills basketball games for the encouragement and support they have shown to student-athletes on CSUSB's NCAA-sponsored sports teams.
    The 10 faculty members were chosen by the members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee based on the criteria -- making a difference in their educationl experience at the campus.
    Eight of the 10 were present and honored at halftime of the men's game. Each was escorted by a member of the team that nominated them and each received a token of appreciation.
    Making the presentation were university President Al Karning, Provost Andy Bodman and Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Dwight Sweeney.
    The honorees were:
    Dr. Steven Kinsey, kinesiology (baseball).
    Dr. Eric Newman, marketing (volleyball)
    Professor Kathie Pelletier, management (men's basketball)
    Professor Deborah Parson, criminal justice (softball)
    Professor Stewart Sumida, biology (men's soccer)
    Professor Barbara Smith, kinesiology (water polo)
    Professor Kelly Campbell, psychology & human development (women's basketball)
    Professor John McGrath, accounting and finance (golf)
    Unable to attend, but recognized were:
    Professor Robert Blackey, history (women's soccer)
    Professor Cliff Singh, kinesiology (cross country).
