Lucas Pepi begins his first season as assistant coach for the CSUSB women's soccer team in 2009. In the 2008 season he served as goalkeepers' coach for the team.
Pepi played three years as goalkeeper for the Coyotes' men' soccer team (2005-2007) after transferring from UC Riverside following his freshman season.
He played in 48 matches in three years with 193 career saves (fourth on the CSUSB all-time career saves list) and six shutouts.
Pepi is a 2008 graduate of CSUSB in business administration with a concentration in management. He is completing his first year in the university's MBA program.
He is a 2003 graduate of Saugus High School and is the son of Eugene and Melody Pepi of Santa Clarita.
