KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 12, 2015) — For the first time in school history the Cal State San Bernardino men's soccer team has received a College Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), the coaches' organization announced this month.
Under the direction of second-year coach
Steve Ralos, the Coyotes are the only CSU that earned that distinction and one of two CCAA schools, joining UC San Diego.
The Coyotes earned the award with a cumulative team GPA of 3.14.
CSUSB's soccer team in 2014 featured three players on the CCAA All-Academic squad —
Corey Christ,
Daniel Looker and
Daniel Lopez.
CSUSB takes on Cal Poly Pomona on Wednesday and at home against Chico State on Sunday.
