2010 Volleyball Schedule
SAN BERNARDINO — The four-time defending California Collegiate Athletic Association champion, Cal State San Bernardino, has announced its women's volleyball schedule for the 2010 season.
The 26-match schedule features 22 CCAA matches and four non-conference matches. CSUSB is also working on scheduling a non-conference match with Inland Empire rival California Baptist, but no date and time has been set. Of the 26 matches scheduled, 10 will come against teams that reached the 2009 NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament.
The season gets underway Sept. 3 at the at the Phoenix Inn GNAC Conference Challenge hosted by Western Oregon as the Coyotes take on Central Washington and Western Oregon. CSUSB closes the weekend with games against Alaska Anchorage and Western Washington, Sept. 4.
The Coyotes welcome Cal State Monterey Bay, Sept. 10, to open both the CCAA and home seasons and San Francisco State pays a visit to Coussoulis Arena the next night.
CSUSB hits the road for the first time in conference play Oct. 8 when it travels to Cal State L.A. That contest is just the first of four straight road matches. The Coyotes return home for a three-match home stand, Sept. 29, against Cal Poly Pomona before taking on Chico State (Oct. 1) and Cal State Stanislaus (Oct. 2).
The Coyotes also host Cal State Dominguez Hills (Oct. 22), Cal State L.A. (Oct. 23), Sonoma State (Oct. 29) and Humboldt State (Oct. 30). CSUSB closes out the regular season at home against Cal State East Bay (Nov. 12) and will take on rival UC San Diego (Nov. 13) in the final regular season match.
The NCAA Division II West Regional is scheduled for Nov. 18-20 with the NCAA Division II Championship set for Dec. 2-4.
