Freshman

Another freshman,
Deserae Perez of Moreno Valley, also broke 20 minutes, finishing 21st overall in 19:57.8 and in 12th place in the team points standings.

"The ladies ran a lot better today than last week. We finished behind a club team (Cal Coast TC) and Southwestern (Community College), but we beat some good schools and our times were really good. In fact, our 1 through 5 times were outstanding," said Head Coach
Tom Burleson.
Two Southwestern JC runners, four unattached runners and three Cal Coast Track Club members finished ahead of Borman.
The Coyotes finished ahead of CCAA member Cal State Dominguez Hills as well as UC Santa Cruz, Pomona-Pitzer, University of San Diego and Grand Canyon among the four-year schools in the race.
In the other division, which featured some of the top teams in the CCAA, Division I Cal Poly San Luis Obispo edged defending CCAA champion Chico State while UC San Diego finished eighth. UCSD's Bre Schofield, a sophomore, finished fifth in 17:45.0. Kara Lubieniecki of Chico State was seventh in 17:48.6
