4 Coyotes on all-region soccer teams

Cabrera, Agwu, Peters and Larson are NSCAA West Region all-stars

Mark Peters was an NCAA Div. II all-West Region third team selection.
Four members of the 2009 Cal State San Bernardino men's soccer team have been voted to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/NCAA Div. II all-West Region all-star contingent.
Senior defender Ryan Larson, an all-CCAA conference first-team pick, was named to the second team while senior defender Mark Peters was named to the all-region third team.
Junior forwards Albert Cabrera and Obi Agwu gained second-team honors.
Earlier this month, Cabrera, an all-CCAA first-team pick,  was voted to the Daktronics all-West Region second team.
The four players were key members of the squad that produced a 15-6-1 record, 11-4-1 in the CCAA and advanced to the CCAA conference tournament where they lost, 2-1, to Cal State Dominguez Hills, a team they had beaten twice during the regular season.
CSUSB also advanced to the NCAA West Regional for the first time since 1991, losing to Cal State L.A., 5-3, in the semifinals.
Cabrera scored 12 goals and assisted on seven others for 31 points to lead the Coyotes. Agwu had 11 goals and three assists for 25 points.  The pair combined for six match-deciding goals during the season.
Peters scored two goals and assisted on two others for six points from his back line position.
Larson had one goal.
The Coyotes displayed one of the most potent offenses in the CCAA, outscoring opponents 50-29 in this, their most productive season since 1991, the year the university joined the CCAA and the soccer team captured the conference title in that inaugural season.
