The Cal State San Bernardino softball team will host the AIM HI DAY CAMP from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Coyote softball field and nearby facilities located near Parking Lot G off the Coyote Drive entrance at Northpark Boulevard.
Only 60 spots are available for children who are out of school due to the holiday or off track. Children 4-7 will participate in activities suited to their age group while children 8-11 will participate in a set of activities designed for them.
There will be drills that enhance balance, hand-eye coordination, develop motor skills, build team unity, foster good sportsmanship and provide physical fitness. Team and group challenges, scavenger hunts, introductions to sports such as softball, baseball, soccer and basketball and creative art activities are planned.
Children 8-11 will have the chance to go rock-climbing at the CSUSB Student Recreation Center and both age groups will be treated to a movie designed for their age group.
Registration is $36.00 and can be paid when the children register between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
Early games will include bucket brigade, Frisbee hoopla and zapper tag.
Other events throughout the day include crafts time, relay races, an adventure walk on campus.
