The second of three summer basketball camps for youth starts Monday, June 30, and continues through July 3 in Coussoulis Arena on the Cal State San Bernardino campus.
The final summer basketball camp for youths is scheduled for Aug. 4-8 at the new Beaumont High School gym in Beaumont.
Camps for soccer and volleyball are also on the calendar this summer.
Here is a rundown on each camp, its cost and where to obtain more information:
-- MEN'S BASKETBALL -- The all-day camps are designed for boys and girls ages seven to 15. Camp cost is $175 per camper which includes instruction, a camp t-shirt and certificate of participation. Scholarships are available. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. --- MEN'S SOCCER -- The day camp will be conducted Monday through Wednesday, July 14-16, from 9 a.m. to noon for boys and girls ages eight to 13. Camp cost is a non-refundable $100 per camper. Youths who register by July 4 get a $20 discount. The fee includes a t-shirt, instruction by CSUSB staff, water and an optional campus tour. Campers must bring their own shohes, shin guards, shorts and socks and a ball. Lockers will not be provided. For information, call Head Coach Noah Kooiman at 909-537-5017. --- WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL -- The 2008 CSUSB volleyball camp for girls entering grades seven through 12 and graduates in the Class of 2008 will be conducted Monday through Thursday, Aug. 4-7, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (first three days) and 8 a.m. to noon (final day). Cost is $225 per camper with a $100 deposit due by July 30 and is non-refundable. The fee includes camp instruction, camp t-shirt and a camp ball. Lunch is not provided.
