Senior shortstop Jordan Dahl has been named to the Daktronics all-NCAA Division II West Region first team in softball by a vote of the region's sports information directors.
    Dahl, the CCAA MVP, earned the honor as a utility player since she played both third base and shortstop for CSUSB.
    She was the only Coyote player on the 34-30-1 team to earn a regional honor. None of the Coyotes players were selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-region team, a squad voted on by the coaches.
    Dahl was the team's leading hitter with 12 homers and 48 RBIs and led theconference in stolen bases. She was named to the CCAA championship tournament all-tournament team as well.
    She and her teammates are competing in the NCAA West Regional at Humboldt State.
